St George Archers was formed in 1950 and is one of the oldest archery clubs in New South Wales. In 2010 we are celebrated our 60th Anniversary. St George Archers caters for archers of all ages and abilities.

State and National Indoor
The weekend of the 20/21 July saw archers from all over Australia shoot the state and national indoor championships. St George Archers had Rod shooting in his first ever tournament and he finished 4th in NSW and 10th nationally in the Open Mens Compound Division. Willy took out 1st place in NSW and nationally in the Veteran mens barebow compound division, Flocy placed 2nd in NSW and 3rd in Australia for veteran recurve women, Stuart placed 1st in NSW and 9th in Austalia for the master mens recurve division while Jess came 1st at the state and national level for junior womens recurve.
Mid Year Matchplay
We recently held the club's Mid Year Matchplay and New Archers Challenge with great enthusiasm from all involved. In the New Archers Division, Rashard was victorious in the final against Kyri, Rod defeated Colleen in the compound division and Jess withstood a line call challenge from Steve in the recurve final. The celebrations were topped off with a great BBQ and decorative cupcakes made just for the occassion.
2013 National Youth Archery Championships
Jess recently represented St George Archers and NSW at the National Youth Archery Championships held in Brisbane. She scored a gold in clout, silver in field and bronze medal in target, with the NSW Recurve Team winning the overall teams event. Jess also qualified to represent Australia in the upcoming World Youth Archery Champsionships in China in October.
2013 National Archery Open Championships
Congratulations to Paul, Willy, Flocy and Jess who recently competed in the National Archery Championships in Canberra. Many PBs were shot, records set, and medals won.
Willy placed first in clout and field and set 3 new National Records, while Focy claimed gold in target, field and clout and was named the best all round veteran female recurver! Jess also won silver in clout. Congratulations to all of our archers on their great acheivements.
Bruce Dillon admitted into the Australian Archery Hall of Fame and Museum for 2012
It was with great pride that St George Archers were able to join with Bruce and Dorothy Dillon and their family at the induction of Bruce into the Austalian Archery Hall of Fame and Museum in 2012.
Bruce has been involved in archery in Australia for over 30 years and during this time has made an amazing contribution to the sport and its participants at all levels. He is a very deserving recipient of this honour.
The induction was held at the annual Banquet that is held in conjunction with the Archery Expo on the weekend of the 25-26 February 2012 at the Liverpool Catholic Club, Sydney.
